Pump Station Control and SCADA Overview
Six unmanned pumping stations brought onto one overview screen, with alarm escalation that distinguishes a night call-out from a morning job.
Challenge
Six pumping stations were running independently with no common overview. Faults were often discovered by the next scheduled visit, and the on-call engineer had no way to tell whether a call-out was genuinely needed.
Solution
Standardised station control with duty and standby rotation, plus a SCADA overview showing all six stations on one screen and an alarm escalation scheme with real priorities.
Result
Unnecessary night call-outs dropped sharply while genuine faults are picked up within minutes. Pump run hours are now balanced across duty and standby.

- Remote Commissioning
The alarm priority scheme was the deliverable that mattered most. Three levels: one that notifies immediately at any hour, one that waits for working hours, and one that is logged only. Agreeing which alarm sits where took longer than programming it, and was worth the time.
Station programs were standardised so all six behave identically — the same alarm means the same thing wherever it comes from.
